I may have a short sale listing coming up in the near future, it's depending on whether or not this person gets her loan mod she's applied for. Which would be GREAT, I have no problem losing a potential listing to a loan mod!

I had gotten a suggestion/tip from a guy that occassionally on some short sales will do the BPO before putting the short sale listing in the MLS, makes thourough notes and says it yields more showings and less time on the market...


anyone do this?

How would a BPO lead to more showings or less days on the market?

Isn't your Friend's suggestion the equivalent of trying to price the property properly at the time it's listed ?

That's the Old Fashioned way, and the BPO you speak of is your own CMA to make sure you can make it move at that price.
