What are some of the ways to get clients when you first become an agent? Did you call on FSOB's and expired listings?

There are 600 million people on Facebook now so don't forget to contact all those friends. Get in touch with your sphere, surely there will be some leads in there.
all the best

Cold call you butt off, would probably be a quick start. Followed by expireds and fsbo's. I'm also new but these are the things I do. Cold calling gets you use to hearing "NO" and helps your Realtor language expect a bunch of hang ups of course. FSBO's will give you really tough skin because they have the best put downs, yes bout 70% initially think we are a waste of money. Expireds have the best stories and laughs because about 30% hated their agent and thought they were lazy (which is not always the case.) This is just my area, I'm guessing other areas may be simular. Thats one of the funniest things I've read on here. The truthfulness of the breakdown is true!

for cold calling and door knocking you really should read the monster thread - I make 100 cold calls every day and love it... it's at 80 pages right now, but it's really worth a read, with a notepad and a pen (take notes)... there's lots of bickering, but also some amazing info, IMHO of course...

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
