I'm sure seeing a lot of new names around here. The ones with < 10 posts. Wonder why the surge? I see leaner days coming for the veterans.

I'm sure seeing a lot of new names around here. The ones with < 10 posts. Wonder why the surge? Not sure about the surge, but I noticed the same thing. As far as veteran members leaving, well I have a few thoughts on that. There are people I fondly remember like CanDo, TB, Ben, etc who were awesome contributors to the MB that have left for various reasons I suppose. To be honest, the current mod (who has been absent of late) rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. I'm not going to get into specifics, but anyone who has been around here for any lengthy period of time knows what I mean. Secondly and perhaps equally important is what does a veteran BPO or REO agent have to gain from being here? Most are established in their niche, and participation only helps new people breaking in. I treat the MB as more of a break room than anything else, but understand how they feel. Many who established themselves years ago network with each other via e-mail, PMs and other message boards thus don't "need" this outlet as a way of sharing ideas or communicating with each other. Brad
I'm with you 100%. We lost a lot of great members for starters. I use it more as a "break room" as you. I kind of like to stay in touch with the old gang. As for the newbies, we were all there at one time. The recent surge could be due to the slow down in orders or some just breaking into the game. Either way, members come and go.......I do miss the "old team", though....just hasn't been the same.
PS....You can add Highest and Best to that list (aka: TB's sister...lol).

I'm with Brad and CandyMan. I'm also guilty of using the forum for my breakroom. I pop in and read a couple times a day but rarely post anymore. I also miss CanDO [who was ALWAYS making people think harder and easily got a rise out of a few ] , TB [who always GAVE a lot of thought to posts before she commented and was spot on in most of her responses], and H&B [even though I don't think she liked me much lol] . I didn't realize Ben hadn't posted in awhile, tho. And I miss Mr. Foreclosures posts, too, even though I'm happy he was able to retire. Things used to get a whole lot more lively around here. Not that posts aren't interesting anymore, I just miss a lot of the comraderie, even when things got a little heated. Linda

Linda
Do you remember our little broker buddy from Nevada? Now, those were the days.....lol. Oh, by the way, did you keep the boat?.....lol.
Cando's office is less than 2 hours from me. I heard TB was "guardin' the Alamo". I last heard Highest and Best was running "wagon train tours", while completing her BPO's....all of them are class acts. I miss them dearly........

Does anyone remember Slo Broker? He got banned a few years ago. He wasn't liked by alot of posters but he helped me out a great deal with my first few reo's. He loved to tweak people.

Not sure exactly, CandyMan. Was it Len or Les or something like that? Ha ha. I'd have to look up the old thread regarding the boat in order to jog my memory. But, no. I never got the boat. Still don't know what happened to it. What a fiasco! There are a few people I miss posting with and it seems some of the regular PP posters have disappeared. I know a few went out of business and a couple are doing very well. Once in a while, I'll get an e-mail from one of them. Ah, the good old days, huh? You and I have a birthday coming up soon, too, don't we? Too bad I'm not in Cali or we'd go celebrate another year of being born on the same day. **smiles** BTW. If you ever talk to CanDo, tell her she's missed and that I said hello. Linda

Does anyone remember Slo Broker? LOL. I remember SLOBroker. I just checked my message box and see that the last time we corresponded was 1/28/08. How funny. Almost 3 years to the day. I loved his sense of humor and, yes, he loved to tweak people. Linda

I still communicate daily with two agents/brokers who I never met, who helped me on my first REOs. Do not remember there handle here but they are good internet friends today. We just converse, shoot the breeze, and commiserate by phone.

...and H&B [even though I don't think she liked me much lol] . Linda Sooooooooooooo not true! I've always envied brokers in your area because I haven't found the person / team that seems as capable as you(rs). I don't remember interacting with you much, which means I also don't remember any disagreements. But however I left that impression, I'm sorry! I respect and admire your leadership and marketing prowess that I've seen from your postings on this site.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
