HI!

Whether you're an agent for ReMax,
Century 21 or any of the majors,
are you allowed to add your own website
link to your promotional materials?

Thank you for replying - this is a VERY
important question to me.

I know with RE/MAX, you absolute can!
I believe it is the same all around, as long you have your brokerage name and location on the piece.

Your broker may have some of his own rules, but in Texas the main two rules, Other than deception, illegal statements, etc, is that every piece of individual literature or webpage must have the broker's name on it and the broker's name must be as large as the largest telephone number.

Yes, I can with Prudential. They gave me a website but the address was long and stupid. So I went to godaddy.com and bought a better domain name that automatically redirects traffic to my website.

Now I simply point people to my website for further property details and virtual tour. My ads say merely the area, price, bed/bath info and "virtual tour & more info at wwww.mywebsite.com"

I love directing interested buyers to my website for more information. It's double-promotion: promote the property - promote my services.

Now, if only I can get a few of those hundreds of website visitors to call me.........

That's easy.

1. Make sure they can find it.
2. Make sure it have enough compelling content to cause them to stay on it once they have found it.
3. Make sure there are multiple, compelling offers on there to cause them to want to contact you to do business.

Website success in 3 easy steps.

To validate that success you should have lots of commission checks you can deposit in your bank account and use to pay bills with.

If that doesn't happen something is wrong and neesd to be fixed.

You might find this helpful as well.

Make your website \'sticky\'

I've found that having a successful website is like a 3 legged stool; your 'stool' has to have all 3 legs or it doesn't work very well.

Keller Williams has the most flexible advertsing standars, and I imagine that RE/Max is very accomodating too.

I've heard a large real estate franchisee system has recently prohibited individual agent websites, however I'm not sure which one is in play.

I really hope this isn't some lead generation effort from a SEO provider.

I think everyone should own their own name as their domain, and then set-up a simple redirect to your broker site/your own site.

Great way to provide branding and personalization, yet saves you the money, time and compliance issues of having your own hosted site.

If your name is take, try adding realtor on the end... ie:
