Anyone outsource their cold calling? If so, what has been your experience and success.

We tried outsourcing our cold calls for a brief time. It actually created problems with potential clients. Our callers were obviously not familiar with the territory and as a result they had no credibility. For us, we find that there is no easy escape for doing the "grunt work". We've hired a small outside sales staff who is motivated and knows our area. The results have been great. Happy Selling!

How about calling around listings and sales, or FSBO's to see if they have considered selling their home? If so, would you like a no cost valuation? At $2 per hour for a telemarketer, it seems like it would be possible.

Interesting - many states consider "cold calling" like this to be an activity that requires a real estate license (I know for a fact that FL does) even if the outside firm states they are calling on behalf of a real estate brokerage. It happened in south Florida about 10 years ago and the fine was so big it helped force closure of the brokerage.

Randy is only in the High End"Staging" business so he probably doesn't require a Real Estate License . . . . yet.

I'd imagine he restricts his calls to just FSBOs and REALTORS® . . . . or maybe a few Furniture Merchants, Art Galleries or Antique Dealers who want to display their offerings in an appropriate setting . . . . but I can't imagine placing the responsibility for these delicate communications under the control of a 3rd party (to save money !)

Every time I get a cold call that has been outsourced I can tell. It doesn't matter if it's the phone company, a politician or a SEO firm. Once you start asking them basic questions about there service that are off script that they cannot answer their credibility goes to zero.

If your concerned at all about controlling the quality of your image I would avoid this sort of thing.

At $2 per hour do they sound like tech support for Microsoft?
