The joke originally had Obama in it. I edited it since I found the humor in the child's reaction. The activity described of the president is a good natured, harmless activity any recent President could be encouraged to do by a staffer or something. I did not find that part of it insulting to a pres, but I did not want to take a shot at BO when the humor is just as good when the reader can imagine his own woeful president in that spot. I am sure some folks put Bush in there in their minds.

Either way the joke is funny to me. I am no fan of Obama as many know, but I like to keep the thread balanced so both sides can get a laugh. Humor will help us get through the tough times.

I heard a great on on FB this morning. It was about congress.
It was a little on the edge so I did not post it.

The punch line was good though. They were taking donations to collect a ransom $$ to free congress and the guy asks how much are people giving? The answer was in terms of the means of demise, not the path to rescue.

Although, freedom of speech...well, I read that if you're talking to someone, for example, and you both are talking about committing conspiracy that it does not fall under the freedom of speech. Interesting, huh?

I would think as long as you're 'talking' but you haven't put ANY wheels in motion, you should be allowed to talk about it.

The politician was sitting at his campaign headquarters when the phone rang. He listened intently, and after a moment his face brightened. When he hung up, he immediately phoned his mother to tell her the good news.

Hey, what ever happened to our good buddy Hunter308? I DO NOT want to get anything started, but I would like to know his thoughts on Elizabeth Warren now that she's called Fauxcahontas. It was his attempts to sell her as the savior of the system that got that whole to-do started late last year. Not that I wallow in schadenfreude or anything...

Okay, here goes. She's a proponent and obviously avid participant in liberal "identity politics" for one. And, claiming herself to be a minority (apparently well pre-Harvard) served as a double prophylactic against any bumps in her professional highway, her gender being one, being a Native American being two. It may have served her well, and now it's hurting her.

WHICH brings me to something I've been thinking about. Obama and Kenya, Obama and Islam. First, I believe he is American-born, okay? I do. But, I also believe that he may have passed himself off at one time or at many times as being African born and/or Muslim. Because it made him appear to be very cool. Different than an American Black-- an African! And Muslim. How cool is that? In certain circles, that's extremely cool. Much cooler than bi-racial American and Baptist. Add a little commie pinko (expected) to that cocktail, and well, it's just about perfect for getting attention and near instant acceptance in liberal circles. And getting chicks.

So, like Ms. Warren glomming a Native American heritage when it suited her purposes, it's possible that Obama got himself into a similar pickle. For Obama what was hip and cool (but a situational fabrication IMO-- born in Kenya, raised in Muslim Indonesia, ain't I the coolest dude evah)-- it's become a problem that really isn't a problem at all. Must irritate the hell out of him. For Warren, I think it's more serious in that she did claim for many years that she was a minority and it did help her.

Allow me. How many liberals does it take to change a light bulb? OSHA regulations say no less than 7 but nore more than 10 as long as proper safety porcedures are followed. Union guidelines concur but limit bulb changing to no more than 6 per hour with mandatory breaks every 25 minutes. Hiring quotas mandate 4 people must be African American, 6 must be female.
