I shot an email off today to one of my asset managers. I said, "Happy Thanksgiving.....I just sent you a turkey....feel free to send it back stuffed with a few REO's". His response was, "No need for gifts....let's just start putting a few deals together." I wanted to say, "Are you for reals?" I decided to pass on that one. Apparently, there's going to be a release next month.....talk about perfect timing. This AM has always been my favorite......now, I know why.

I've been hearing it for over a month from various sources. My first thought was.......December?.......slowest month in the year.

Makes sense though if you think about it. I'm hearing the same thing from a variety of places. Interest rates are up, sales are down...let's start putting things on the market. The buyer's are out there, I assure you! I just had over 100 agents in a listing in one week.

At least for me... my asset volume goes up and down and I've been selling off my inventory and need to replenish.

More assets to sell is a good thing to be thankful for. :-)

Yeh, our 'coming soon' inventory is down right now too, tho' we're still high in number of listings, and we have a handful under contract. It'll be interesting to see how the winter pans out. wink

Hmmm, it's interesting that this year we are not hearing anything about a holiday freeze. Remember the Thanksgiving to Christmas moritoriums of years past.

Well here in AZ they just changed a bunch of 12/1/2010 Trustee sales to 3/1/2011. My bet is that they do not want to look bad around the Holidays. Keep checking and don't be surprised if the same thing happens where you are. YES THEY GOT 4 MORE MONTHS FOR FREE...

I have two evictions scheduled for 12/17. Oh and that is the extension they were given. Both properties still occupied. I don't see the holiday stopping foreclosures or evictions, but I do beleive that the banks will keep holding what they have until January and then start releasing them.

We just had the out date for a CFK changed from 12/24/10 (an automatic 30 days from CFK offer date) to January 4 2011.

Most companies that we work with will not evict between Thanksgiving and New Years and will not require a CFK out date during that period unless occupant wants it.

I have heard of other companies that have no qualms about evicting during the holidays. Some counties in our state have Sheriffs that will not schedule evictions during the holidays.
