Good article. It points out the twists and turns that are going on out there. I have four evictions on hold right now, on properties that are assigned to me. However, the offer cash for keys task has posted on all of them. I had to call the sheriff yesterday about two other evictions, and I asked him what he thought. My thought is, do not offer cash for keys of the eviction is on hold, he agreed. I e-mailed one of the AMs with the bank and asked - if the eviction is on hold, shouldn't the cash for keys be on hold too? His answer was yes, if it is on hold for an affidavit issue, the cash for keys should not be offered. Looks like I am calling the foreclosure attorneys on those files on Monday to figure out why they are on hold. While I believe the bank should have never posted the cash for keys task if I was not to offer it, I do not want to be talking to occupants that I should not be contacting. Unfortunately, our jobs are getting more and more complicated and it would seem, sometimes we the agent are the only one paying attention. Remember the days when they were assigned, already trashed out and re-keyed and ready to go? That ship has sailed.
