Yes, patience is definitely a great attribute to have, yet everyone is able to achieve it. Many people who fail tend to start something strong, but stop working on it just a couple months in before they see the success.

I think the earliest I've ever seen anything work is about 2 months, so agreed... patience is definitely a virtue in this case.

I respectfully disagree. I would say that the true keys to internet marketing success are planning and execution. All the patience and consistency in the world will do nothing for your business if your efforts are poorly planned and/or misdirected.

Hey Guys,
I'm new here so first off let me hello and I hope to be a great addition, as I did Real Estate for 8 years, then when market crashed learned everything about IM, especially Social Media, mastered it and now am getting back into the game with these awesome skills of dominating the internet.
So I hopefully can give as much value back as I am getting...
OK, so I let me give my 2 cents...
1. SEO can be INSTANT! The key here is to use "authority sites" that are already domainting the Search Engines such as YouTube, Squidoo, Ezine Articles and there are many more!
2. The KEY To Getting Top 10 Rankings I am sorry to say... Is NOT Fresh Content!
You see a lot of people, will tell you that you have to watch out for "Duplicate Content" and that you will be penalized... Which is SIMPLY NOT TRUE!
"Duplicate Content" is meant for you NOT to show the same content on the same domain. In other words DO NOT HAVE THE SAME ARTICLE ON THE SAME SITE TWICE!
Now there is some more technical stuff I could talk about BUT don't want to overwhelm.. But basically if you have the same words in the "Navigation Menu" along the sidebar of your site... THIS CAN BE CONSIDERED DUPLICATE CONTENT!
SO instead of explaining all this I will just give you a way around this...
Estimate how many words you have in total in your Nav Menu (or any menues for that matter) THAT SHOW UP ON EVERY PAGE ACROSS YOU SITE!
Then what you want to do is make sure that your artciles and blog posts are at least 50% larger in total words... That will make every page completely unique and do WONDERS FOR YOUR SEO!
3. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU WILL EVER NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN IT COMES TO SEO...
A. The TITLE of your content, blog post, video, etc B. The Description of the piece of content C. Using the keywords throughout the body text
Now the key here is TO ONLY TARGET 1 KEYWORD PER PIECE OF CONTENT!
And don't make a rookie mistake of trying to go for "Real Estate Investor"
Be strategic and go for your town + keyword
ie. My Town is "Providence Rhode Island"
So keyword for me might be...
Providence Real Estate Agent Best Providence Real Estate Agent Homes for Sale In Providence, RI Foreclosures in Rhode Island
***Also its very smart to target "Buyer Phrases" like "home for sale in providence rhode island"***
When we search online for something we don't put things like "Real Estate Homes" we put stuff like "homes for sale in providence"
SO TARGET THESE PHRASES! YES THEY DONT GET AS MANY SEARCHES BUT THESE ARE THE PEOPLE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR...
BECAUSE THESE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!!!!!
I can't bet you money right now that if you target "long tail keywords" (keywords that are 3-5 worded phrases) and you use the formula I gave you by using that keyword in the Title, Description & in the Content itself... YOU CAN EASILY RANK FOR THAT KEYWORD WITHIN 24-48 HOURS AND BE #1!
>>>Granted if you live in San Diego, CA it will be a little more difficult and in that case I would say go the Social Media route all day long, start a fan page and start sharing videos, audios and become the Celebrity Agent in your town... This is where I like to play instead of Search Engines nowadays! ie... My IM Training Fan Page http://www.facebook.com/kevindasilvafans <<<
Back to this SEO formula, your content can especially get ranked quickly if you bookmark that piece of content (ie. blog post) with a site called Digg.com
Digg Results, especially for long tail keywords will show up in Google Top 10, literally in less than 1-3 hours.
And because Google is always searching Digg for fresh stuff, they will follow that "social bookmark" on Digg back to your site and BAMMO you got Google to find your new blog post... INSTEAD of waiting days, maybe weeks for Google to crawl your site.
FINALLY, if you first made a video and placed it on YouTube with the same formula of using the "long tail keyword" in the Title, Description and YES the content (because YouTube now transcribes the video and can tell how many times you said the keyword in your video so sayin it does matter)...
You will DOMINATE GOOGLE IN HOURS!!
NOW FOR SOME SUPER NINJA FORMULAS- Submit that same video to Vimeo, Viddler and all other Video Sites and then embed that video to your blog and use the transcription of that video as an article and submit it to EzineArtciles.com and other Top Article Directories...
YOU WILL OWN THE FIRST 30 RESULTS FOR THAT LONG TAIL KEYWORD IN A MATTER OF HOURS!!!
Not to mention have a bunch of 1 way links pointing back to your site for Google to start seeing your blog as an Authority site.
Hope this helps guys and please take this, go apply it and report back your results and I promise you will get great results! lol
I look forward to seeing your responses and I am more than happy to answer any questions y'all might have anytime!
Your Friend, Kevin

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
