I am a property manager in Temecula California. I have been in real estate since 1988 but in property management since 2005. I thought selling real estate was stressful but being a high volume property manager is unbelievable. It is kind of like being a cop. You see people at their worst and it amazes me how people can hurt others with no conscience. Sometimes i wish i could get ot but it is lucrative. Anyone else feel the same?

I have seen some pretty shady stuff in Los Angeles-- while I have met (and heard of) pretty solid property managers and owners. I guess like anything-- it's a mixed bag.

I help a friend run his management business here in Louisiana and while he has some situations like you describe, I would say the majority of it isn't nearly that bad. Maybe it's the area you are dealing in.
This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
