Probably $1M. I've been unsuccessful in obtaining a general liability policy on my own. My broker doesn't want to pay for it. All the insurance companies I've contacted will not extend coverage to me individually.

After receiving several quotes, I went with Cres Insurance Services in San Diego. The policy is with a reputable carrier, very competitive premium, and had the option of payment plans.

Mine is $500 per year, got it though Pearl Ins. $1Million/$2Million. You get your choice to pay in full or make payments.

Most insurers can add this type of policy to your current coverage i.e. home, auto etc. I know Nationwide and a few other big names offer the Business Owners Policy. A good agent can help you set it up properly. Our company BOP only runs about $400.00/year for $2Mil coverage. It also covers some of the Social meida libility in case sued for Libel, copyright infringement etc. There are attorney's scouring the internet looing for easy money. best thing is to pay an ounce o prevention before you could lose ewverything.

I couldn't get Pearl Insurance to cover me for GL. We have E&O with them but they wouldn't extend GL for the REO work I perform.

I just cancelled my GL after 6 months with CNA. Policy $500 year, paid $250 to start, cancelled at the 6 month mark when I got my bill, now they say I owe them $50? Go figure. I'm sick of rip-off insurance companies. Won't ever use them again.

How do you operate as a broker without general liability insurance?
