I am assuming that franchise fees are a given with any franchise related broker and would not be applicable with non franchise brokerages and it thus becomes the obligation of the broker to submit these. These particular matters were never discussed when initially meeting with broker, but in retrospect should have been discerned by me as a required expense of doing business with the broker. Any thoughts? Many thanks!

A franchise fee can be anything. A non francise may call it an office fee, a transaction fee, an additional charge. All the fees should be laid out in the IC agreement.

Yes, there will always be these "fees"...whether they are called admin fees, team fee, desk fee, transaction fee, or all of the above...there will always be these fees for us to consider as we consider the best brokerage choice for us!
