I am thinking of becoming a real estate agent and was wanting to know has anyone took the online courses? I've heard that this may not be a good idea but instead take courses in class. Please assist with any ideas on this...

I did all my schooling online. It's easier for me to learn that way then sitting in the classroom, (ADD I guess) because I totally zone out.
Although I know many other people who say there is no way they could get through an online course. It's all up to you and how you learn.
I took Kaplan College I understand now they also (for the same price) have classroom recordings so that you can watch the lesson as well as reading, if that helps.

Okay thank you...I just wanted to make sure. I've taken online classes before but that was for nursing. I may just sign up this week for the real estate courses.

For continuing ed I do online. For the initial licensing course I took a class - it would have been too dull, dry and boring for me otherwise. The classroom discussion and question and answer helped. All that to say the quality of the class depends solely on the teacher. My teacher was awesome. Many teachers are dull dry and boring too. LOL

I took mine online and swear it's the best. I know many people who agree. I also know an equal number of people who say classroom is the only way to go. So it really just depends on you and how you learn and what you're more comfortable doing.

I spend most every waking moment connected to the Internet so it was a no brainer for me. I also am a night owl and did most of my studying in the middle of the night. I would have been hard to do that in a classroom. I liked that it was self paced and I could go back over sections I felt I needed to spend more time on.

Online real estate schools rock! You can complete your pre-licensing courses or your CE courses from the comfort of your own home! Definitely worth it!

You can try agentcampus.com they offer cheap online real estate courses. I did my schooling on that website and it was the best so far.
