I draw your attention to the parent company of the site listed at the bottom of this contact form: http://www.listingbee.com/contactus.cfm

I will comment only because you are misinformed. First, it does not cost you anything to use. I am an agent in Southern California and use Listingbook, which i believe Jim Gatos is referring to. The product is far superior to anything else out there, especially RLS 2000. Jim, just an fyi.. the link to your website on here does not work. Second, Listingbook is not an MLS specific product. It is a tool that you can use, provide to your clients and prospects. Once registered, it is just like a property search but with far greater collaboration features and other property tools. Listingbook is doing well and if you do the research, they span over 40 different markets and actually are the fourth ranked real estate website in terms of pageviews. Back to listingbee, do your research. IT IS FREE! And, you can upload photos, videos, blog, recommend providers, etc. If you have the capacity to understand more than facebook, which really is only a place to share photos and gossip, a site like listingbee offers much more. So, Jim, let me ask you this. How do you stay engaged with your clients? Send them a postcard or calendar? With listingbee, i can recommend providers that I know will get the job done right. Forget Angies list, people only use that to complain. No I can keep my clients engaged with me, not to mention my blog.
Now, to address Perky Realtor, "YOU" may not use these things, but many do, and those that do understand how these things work is what allows us to service more clients, better, which equals more money.
Lastly, not sure if you heard, but the parent company of Listingbee, which is Listingbook, just bought cyberhomes.com If you look here, http://www.trafficestimate.com/cyberhomes.com you can see it says they get about 600,000 visitors to cyberhomes, which these types of tools are always low, so it is probably more like a million visitors a month. I am sure they have plans to integrate that into both Listingbook and Listingbee.
And as Broker contributed to on this post, yes, the real estate industry is changing. Get on board or get left behind.

If you have the capacity to understand more than facebook, which really is only a place to share photos and gossip, Actually almost $600,000 of my sales in the past 3 months can be attributed DIRECTLY to Facebook.

No people are not searching for real estate on facebook, but if one uses facebook to promote blogs or just in general talk a little about real estate through status updates you are getting your face in front of people and remind them that you are in real estate. Which encourages referrals. And what kind of marketing beats referrals and word of mouth? Nothing! Jtjompson you should look into social media marketing a little more. It's very effective.

LOL.. i am not saying i am not engaged in social networking, but core business does not come from Facebook. It comes from a network of connections you already have.... you may say facebook is a conduit to business, but it really isn't... I did over 26M in sales last year and while i use facebook, i can say it was not a business "driver". Many people get wrapped up in what is the "in" thing, and while facebook is not going anywhere, it is not an "efficient" channel to doing business in the "real estate" category.

Listing Bee is just another attempt by aggregtors to glom onto agent's hard earned content. Not buying it. My own blog gets about 3300 visitors a month. I have no intention of sharing that with the people at Listing Book. It's bad enough we are forced to use them for our prospects. The way it is set up is that it deliberately whisks the client OFF my blog site to get to listings. But people want it so I'm stuck with it. If I can find a viable alternative that includes contracts/expireds and solds that also KEEPS people on MY site - I will drop them like a hot potato

Umm, it does not wisk them off anywhere. You can place a module right on your blog that gives the user a listingbook account and they are in YOUR clients/prospect manager. You simply don't get it.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
