Well, where do I start? I graduated in 2001 from Florida International Univeristy with a degree in Business Administration. After a few months in the "real world", lol, I realized right away the 9-5, corporate world was not for me.
Soon after realizing this I became a licensed property appraiser at the age of 21 in the State of Florida (Miami). I spent two years as a property appraiser working all throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, & Palm Beach counties. Being a property appraiser gave me a true understading on how to determine and assess fair market value's of residential properties. It also gave me quite a bit of knowledge in regards to construction.
At the age of 23 I became a licensed Mortage Broker. After 1 year as a licensed Mortage Broker, in 2005 I decided to become a license Mortage Brokerage Business. Well, needless to say this was great for all of 2005 and 2006. Soon after that the downfall began.
In 2008 I decided to become a license real estate agent. Next month I finally become a licensed broker. Last year though, I decided to open up my one stop shop Prestige Realty & Management Group (www.pr-mg.com). At my company we cover all aspects pertaining to real estate, we have our in house mortgage company, The Mortgage Group, & property management company, Iglesias Management.
I guess in a nut shell that pretty much sums up my career path up until this point. All I know is real estate and I love it with a passion. I feel I have been fortunate to be a licensed property appraiser, mortgage broker, and real estate agent as I feel this has allowed me to become an extremely well rounded real estate agent.
What I would like to gain from this forum is the knowledge of all those that are currently involved in REO market. Considering everything that accompanies being an REO agent, it originally persuaded me to stay away from entering this area before, but now I truly want to take it on FULL FORCE.
So, I am here to learn and listen, and hope that some of you are willing to share your knowledge and provide some guidance to a greenhorn in this specific area.
Thank you again!
