Please do not reply to spam posts - it makes it more annoying for us mods to delete them. Please report them (some of you very faithfully do that and it's appreciated!) and then one of us will delete it - whoever logs on first.

When you reply to posts we mods can not delete the thread, we have to delete the posts individually first then delete the thread.

Lot of the forums are having this problem :/ You guys think it can be eventually stopped?

Yes, we must report spam posts to keep the forum integrity very high. Spam posts are often focused on selling a product or bragging about income in some fashion.

No I don't think it can be stopped completely but if we all "notify" the moment we see them, without commenting on the thread, it will make it much easier for the mods to deal with them.

Its actually gotten alot better than a few years ago. I've not had to go after a repeated spammer for a long time now.

Yeah, we usually just get the drive by spammer nowadays.

I just went through and of the 36 posts created by deepikasnv only 3 remain - they actually make sense to the conversation and add some sort of value. Everything else was just nonsense drivel.

It is nice to see that the effort is made on here to get rid of that stuff. Some of these forums are horrible for the nonsense they allow!

I was on this forum a few years back and the backbiting and spam got bad, so I quiet the forum for awhile.

Thanks guys. I just found another spammer today and deleted all 27 posts (made in about an hour's time last night, lol) and banned said person. As always, it's helpful if you guys click the "Notify" link at the bottom of any spam posts you see - we don't always see them right away but as soon as we're notified one of us mods will zap em good!

You might check out Chris_S, Leon FS, and Insider. They've all done multiple posts within a short time span (couple of hours) that pretty much add nothing to a coversation - in many cases, on posts 5 and 6 years old.

You can find spammy post very easily because the post will be irrelevant to the topic. So, you can easily find and notify as a spam.
