With all the millions of websites out there, do you really think you can compete with brand marketing and the other major sites? Yes, people are going to go to the major portals, not your small little site. Let me guess, no one on here has ever taken a finance or marketing course? Look, I am just trying to help out fellow agents. BTW, your so called content, is already out there. It is the listing, and I would rather have my clients and prospects in a closed community where i can see exactly what they are doing versus on realtor.com, zillow, trulia, etc. Also, considering that most consumers are fed up with paying 6%, you better understand what they want. So, at this point, you have to look beyond your own self interests. I did approximately $32M in sales last year, much based on volume, and I could not have done it without Listingbook. On another note, many of the leads I received from Listingbook turned into sales. So, interpret it however you see fit. Keep it up and our industry will go by the way of other industries taken over by technology.. did i mention i now book my travel through expedia.com and not a travel agent as I used to do 15 years ago.

So you say you are not going to let a "FREE" site make money off of you. Umm.. you said you use facebook. You don't think they are monetizing the content within your posts to serve targeted advertising to your friends.. LOL YOU do not get it..
btw.. how much did you make last year.. i think i get it :)
after submitting this post, i see advertising for C21, Prudential, on this site.. Umm, sounds like someone is monetizing your "hard" work you spent on content.. you think they are giving you back leads from this site.. get a clue.

Awful good at defending this listingbee site for just being an agent trying to help out fellow agents.

Not defending, whether it is this site or any other site, just trying to help you see the light. I don't care if you use the tools out there that really help us. It just means more $ for me.

Listingbook is extremely popular in this area and most producing agents utilize this free tool. I have been using it for about 4 years. It looks like they are trying to expand to more markets?
Its a really neat tool because: - Its free to agents - It auto feeds from the MLS and is updated every couple of hours. - When you put a prospect on it and they see a home they like, they contact you. - I don't have to drive all over showing them tons of homes when they can find a select few that they love on listingbook then we see them and then write an offer on one. - I can get a better understanding of exactly what the client is looking for. - They can save homes in their favorites list and/or leave notes on homes asking me questions about them. - Sellers can monitor their homes and see how many people are looking at it, including agents and they can see how many buyers/agents added their home to their favorites lists. - It saves me time....nuf said.
Overall its pretty neat and most buyers really appreciate its usefulness...
Facebook is great for pulling in leads though!!!!

Yes, and once logged -on - they go to MY LISTING BOOK SITE by-passing my blog which has a great deal of rich content.
Btw, I pay $10 a month for this. If I could find another IDX that did it the way I WANT IT - I would dump listing book in a second. The only reason I use Listing Book at all is because if I DON'T sign the prospect up on it - someone else will. People want access to IDX and Listing Book is popular - but I have no illusions about the way it is set up. It is set up to elbow out sites like mine and cash in on the content I provide - by selling it BACK to me at a steep price. That's the end game. I choose not to play your game any more than I have to.
People on this forum are pretty savvy. I find it amazing that you joined this forum ONLY to promote Listing Book - You haven't commented on anything else. Do you really think we are that stupid?
Further - MY LITTLE SITE does bring home the bacon. Sites like yours are just in the way. NO ONE would miss them if they were gone. They just try to elbow out the content-rich local sites which are far more beneficial to the consumer. MLS's are starting to get wise and agents who do business online are pushing back on sites like this - HARD.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
