I have always had a problem with SEO. I have tons of quality pages out there for my blog but I can't seem to get noticed by Google or attract any links.
If you need quality links, how can you coerce people into linking to you?
God Bless,

Mark,
For one, your blog doesn't have a meta description. Sure, some of the high-authority, well-established blogs with PR6 can get away with that, but starting out you need to make use of all SEO fundamentals. Your link-building could also use some work. I don't want to be nit-picky and be negative, but if you'd like shoot me a PM.

Are free directories productive for SEO? I have a list of several directories with decent page ranks that do not require links back. Would it be a waste of time to go down the list and submit my website?

Hi Captain21,
Here is my opinion about this question. Submitting your site to directories with decent PR wouldn't hurt your site, but don't expect that it will also help you that much. Yeah acquiring free links is a good idea but the so called "web" has tons and tons of directory websites, only few are acceptable like dmoz, google, etc. submitting to those kind of directory is pretty much enough, might as well build informative/useful content that would attract followers, once you build a strong reputation expect inbound links to be coming from everywhere

Thanks for the info. I have been trying to do other things than just submitting to free directories, but it is tempting to submit info to them when I got a little time.

Not all links are about juice. A cached link with key word anchor text and accompanying key word text can be used to help point the search engines to your site for the anchor text. This is why you see low PR sites outrank high PR sites for certain terms.

you have to be very patient and pasistent. Another name i will give to the seo game is pasistence and patience. If you don' have them, you can consider using google adwords which is expensive because without them you can't win in the game.

If you have a new domain then you will get stuck and maybe even pushed back a few times before you get to the top.

One advice is something I've seen already and that is a danger of being pushed to "Sandbox". If Your web is new and optimized for important phrase, it can get penalized and pushed back for 3-6 months.

If you are working on competitive keywords it will take some time. So, try to optimize your website with you local keywords like keyword with your country, your city it will give juice to your main keyword as well. So, just keep relevant link building + Quality links + Low OBL Thanks

Google is becoming much more picky now-a-days. Make sure you have good variation in your keywords or Google will knock you down.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
