We can only imagine how they felt when they finally realized that the water was not going to stop and again when they realized that they would lose all their belongings and finally when they realized that their lives were in danger and no one could come to help them with their small children and their pets. That horror will be with each of those people the rest of their lives. The map is amazing. I guess knowing what flooded first will help to prevent so much damage next time.
It looks like those of us in the Gulf Coast have escaped a hurricane this year but unfortunately, the East Coast took a big hit. According to
www.wunderground.com, we are really getting beat up by Mother Nature this year (my words, not theirs!).
