Just keep in mind that if your postcard is bigger than 6 inches long or 4.25 inches wide, you'll need full first-class postage.
I've never been a fan of bulk mail. Yes, it can be cheaper, but in my book, it also screams "throw me away!" Maybe I see it that way because 99% of the bulk mailings I receive at home go straight to the circular file, unopened. I don't have any hard data to support this, so take this for what it's worth, but I've always felt that a the more personalized the mailing looks (I've always preferred using hand-lettered envelope with a regular old postage stamp), the more likely it is to be opened than a bulk mailing.
