I am going to lease a space for a hand car wash in a few months, outdoor space. There was a zoning change which will go into effect in March, so until them we will not be able to submit plans to the city. I want to secure the space by giving a deposit. How does this usually work? Is a lease drawn from the start stating the time the lease will take effect or just the deposit with a deposit form is enough? I am going to meet with the person who is in charge of leasing the space and I want to be ready.
Thanks.

I would at the least have an attorney review and negotiate your lease for you before signing or handing over any money.

Commercial leasing comes down to experience and getting a few POINTERS on here won't cover all you need to know.

I agree with super realtor. An attorney will save you the headache later on. The attorney will know the story down the line should you need legal offense/defense.
