NO, you must be an active agent for 2 years before you can become a broker.

That other Broker also bears the liability for the mistakes made by his Apprentices . . . . i.e. vicarious responsibility for protecting the Public Interest.
Talk to the Georgia Real Estate Commission. The industry is set up like this for very good reason. It's a Journeyman's Business to protect the General Public from Agents who don't yet know what they don't know.

You are investors and you want to help OTHER people find the best deals? Have you thought this through, really? Seems to me that an investor needs to find the best deals for himself. Working to help other people will take focus away from your own pursuits.

Every state has different licensing requirements for brokers. You need to check with your DOS. But, as a general rule, you will have to work under a broker for a specified time and complete a certain number of transactions before you can get a brokers license.

Even if it were possible, really, do you want that stress? You must understand contracts through and through! Okay, so the sentence may say one thing, but legally you need to know what it means EXACTLY. If you misinterpit, explain wrong, or even understand wrong...you could lose your license. That's why the broker gets their cut, because it's their a** too if you screw something up. Would you hire an attorney to represent you in court, who himself had never been in court? School doesn't teach you how to practice, you'll actually need practice for that.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
