Has anyone figured out how to pull this off?

I have been able to add custom tabs with basic HTML(<img src>, <a href>, ...) through FBML but I cannot get it to work with advanced HTML (<script>, <iframe>, ...).

If you have figured it out, link us to your site and share with us how you pulled it off.

I see what you did there... however at the same time, It really doesn't make much sense to have an IDX on your fan page... just direct them to your website like what this guy did with his.

No, not from facebook. Also, it depends where that "anchor text" is located... with some sites it gives seo ranking, while others it doesn't

Totally agree - use a custom welcome page to direct people to your search experience back on your website. Facebook doesn't have any built in conversion tools, whereas your website does (it should anyway).

For those of you who don't know, Drew Meyers (DrewM) is a leading RE tech guru, so I would take his advice seriously.

Back to the OP, have you tried Roost? It's not available for every market but it's definitely a good way to incorporate relevant info on your FB page. And I would also highly recommend redirecting FB fans/friends to your site (or blog, provided that it has search capabilities and some kind of conversion form). Best of luck.
