I don't like the flashy content on the front page. The paragraph changes before I have a chance to finish.

While these flashy sites are pretty I am not sure it's going to do you much good from a search engine standpoint.

Yeah, I've sort of tinkered with this idea. I can slow them down or just make the "slides" change upon refresh. Thanks for the feedback!

Ive got a power of a machine but your site is slow and jerky in my browser seems a bit heavy on flash and like perky said flash is useless. That will be horror on people with slower machines and thats probably everyone compared to my machine.

I think your overdeveloping the site with too much wow.

Thanks, a lot of the slowness is due to a overloaded server so that is going to be changed. Actually, that is javascript not flash.. But I'm goign to tone some of it down I think

I like it. That is the kind of site that would draw me in. A little slow like others have said. You have your blog, listings, about you.

I like it, Bret. Definitely a well-thought out site that is aesthetically pleasing (digging the color scheme).

A couple of issues:

Not sure if it was just my machine, but the 'simple search' took forever to load and when it finally stopped loading it was just a blank screen. I tried 3 times, all same result.

Are you doing the SEO for your site or was the webdesigner? The meta titles need to be worked on. First, it was exactly the same in all the pages I visited (except the IDX pages). Second, use more descriptive terms on the title. Including your phone # there does absolutely nothing for your SEO.

Make the 'quick search' pop out a little more (could be with a simple frame or something that makes it distinguishable).

Add me to your blogroll, then you'll be all set. (just kidding... or am I).

All in all, great site, just needs a little polishing.

Good deal though, work on the meta data as soon as you can. I would suggest learning SEO and implementing good practices (too many people go for quick-fix black hat techniques that does more harm than good). If you have any questions, feel free to post on this section (I am the moderator) or PM me.

It's a very nice site that is simple and at the same time, it has a web 2.0 feel to it. One thing I would change is the background.... very annoying and distracting. I'm sure your conversion rate will increase as well as the time people spend on your site.

I like the colors and the cool blue look. The blueprint is pretty cool too. Very soothing and business-like. I also like the Facebook section - everyone is on Facebook these days and it'll help people become more aware of you.

However, from a quick site conversion analysis, some of the components need some tweaking that would help increase the number of leads and improve user navigation. For starters...

1) It is a bit difficult to find the "Contact" link, as it is hidden between the navigation links at the top. I'd recommend you stick it at the end and play with a background color to bring it out.

2) Although I like the blueprint background, try experimenting with a solid blue background. When people are scrolling down, the background image makes the text a little hard to read.

3) I'd move your profile picture and a quick summary about you near the top so visitors can see that you're not just some realty firm, but you're "Brett Nida", a real dude who is cool to talk to, personable, and is willing to help.

Anyhow, I have a lot more, but I think those should help out a lot.

I like it. It is clean and organized. The information is laid out in a way that is easy to navigate.

Also, I like your blog. I think it allows the reader to get a good idea of what your personality is like through your writing. I also especially liked your "quick question". Something I might consider adding to my site. However, when I added a comment to your blog, your picture popped up next to my name. ???
