Been working on this for the last week and am making some progress. Almost got the site how I want it to be but still needs some tweaking. I'm using a wordpress blog for it and am really liking the setup. Now I need to start with SEO which I know very little about to start getting some traffic. Would love to get some input on the site. Your homepage title is "Park City Foreclosures". Maybe you could be a bit more descriptive (i.e. where the hell is 'park city')??? Is Park City the only area you service? If not, mention other areas. Do you only do foreclosures? short sales?

I liked how easy it would be for somebody to sign up for your report. However it seemed to blend into the rest of the page, and would be easy to miss.

I would suggest doing something to make it stand out more.

Park City, UT :) And yes we do Park City as well as surrounding areas and even Salt Lake City. Our main focus is for buyers in Park City though. And yes I still do need to add some wording to not limit it to just foreclosures.

As for making it stand out, right now after every blog post I am putting at the bottom "Sign up for our report to see more great deals like this" as well as the singup for the RSS feed at the top.

And yes, I just got it finished, the blogging part is next! As well as SEO which I am pretty terrible at.

SEO - think about how you would search in Google or other search engines to find real estate / foreclosures in your area.

Then incorporate those terms in your site and into your blog - the art to it is to do it in such a way that it doesn't look like that's what you did.

there is a lot of back end stuff w/ SEO but if you blog on a regular basis using your search terms that should get you started well!

Will do, thanks for the tips Perky. This website or domain actually used to be advertised quite a bit locally and had a very good following for the last 8 years. But, it was never on the top page of google and such so if I can get it there I think I will have quite a bit of business coming in from it. Thanks again everyone.

Quick look at your titles - Good not sure adding Utah will get you closer to what you want but just keep adding original content and you are on your way.

Got some good news. #1 on yahoo search for Park City Foreclosures!! That is with very very little SEO being done. About to hire out a small SEO job to get it blasted out as well. So far so good!

Still having trouble getting my google rankings up. Hope with a few months of consistent blogging I will be up there. Getting a small amount of hits from the yahoo searches though which is nice.

What kind of work is your SEO doing for your site? Btw, be patient as getting better on the SERPs will take time.

Just had some small backend work done to optimize it. Getting a good amount of hits now, 5-10 per day and all sorts of searches are pulling us up on google. Still no sign of us on google for "Park City Foreclosures" which is where I am getting a lot of hits from yahoo on.

I'm pretty happy with how well it is working. Starting to get more and more leads the more I post.

I'd suggest downloading the RankChecker plugin for Firefox. It'll help you in tracking your ranking (it's not 100% accurate, but enough to give you a clear understanding of where you are).

Ahh thank you, that will be a good help. Made a few changes to titles and such on how it looks like on a google search so it should be a little more search friendly. Thanks for the recommendation.
