Hello,
I would like to get into the Real Estate industry, because I would like to learn it from the ground up and learn it at a slow pace while the market is down, since I know that it will just be a matter of time before it starts thriving again. Plus I would like to learn how I can purchase income property (so I can save that income for my retirement, as I plan to retire in about 20 years from now). So I figure being a R.E. Agent would make this process easier, since I could learn about this industry from the ground up.
Ideally, I would like to find a “teacher” or “guru” that I might can learn from as a non-paid helper (in their office) as I work on getting a basic Real Estate license in the Los Angeles, California area. With a hope that the “teacher” or “guru” might like my work well enough to hire me to work in their office. However I do not know where would be the best place to start . . . since I do not have much money to start with a major Real Estate company like Re/Max or Century 21 or Keller Williams, due to so many monthly fees, membership fees, desk fees or hidden fees, just to work in an office like that . . . especially since the market is not good and I think I would end up going broke being a brand new agent in such an office having to pay all of those monthly fees.
Any guidance and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Cheers!!!,
Wilson
