How many hours can you miss out of the 75 hour course mandated by the state of NJ for obtaining a realestate license? Ive googled it but was unable to find an answer.

Thanks!

If they allow you to miss any, then just make sure that those are not the hours in which most important information was conveyed which would have helped you pass the Exam.

WHY MISS ANY . . . . you're paying for them all? Not a good sign.

I'm not in New Jersey, so I don't know . . . . but I found the question bizarre.

Hopefully they allow you to miss NONE. If they do the bar is even lower than I thought.

Then again, most of what you learn in the licensing course is purely to pass the exam, has little to do with the general practice of real estate other than learning the law....

Here in Minnesota, if you miss any licensing hours, you must repeat those hours at another time/day. Your time card must be completely filled to be eligable for course completion.

Why not just call them and ask? From the New Jersey Real Estate Commission site:

If you have any questions regarding the above please do not hesitate to contact the Commission's Education Bureau at 609-292-7272 Ext. 50113 or 50137.

Is there really a quota for amount of hours? I would assume you're expected to understand the information being taught, rather than having an hours quota?

Unfortunately, there is . . . . but the Sales Agent and Brokers Exams have a way of determining whether people have been paying attention.
