I received a new lead to rent a property for an owner out of state, Owner stated to me that the tenant had abandoned his property 4 months ago and left some belongings at the house. Owner asked me to go take pictures and find out how much it would cost to get the house up to par with cleaning it and getting the lawn up to date and get rid of the personal belongins so i can make the house rent ready, so I did i went to the property took pictures open the garage and there is a Hardley in it, please advise as what to do! I mentioned to the owner that there was a bike in garage he asked me to do whatever to gget rid of it. any comments?

The owner has to do a personal property eviction, try to get the information with your County court house.

Whoa! A Harley in the garage?! The tough part here is trying to figure out if this Harley is property of the previous tenant. What if it was stolen? Wow...going to the County Court House for guidance is likely the best advice on this one. Typically, tenants leave behind old mattresses, garbage, papers, pens, clutter, etc...but not a Harley!

If it's not stolen, the Bike is probably registered with the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles, and they would know who the Owner of Record is . . . . as would any local Police Department.

But this thread is 4 months old, so the place has probably been cleaned out by now.
