How about we all decide to boycott Bank of America...still do their business, but not use them in any other way...do you think that will get their attention. I told my BAC lender we could not use them anymore because their short sale process is so nasty and he told his boss, who asked me about it and he saud he would "pass it on." I moved my checking account (business) from them and told them why and they did not seem to care.
The more they see that their is a downside to being the way they are, the quicker they may respond???
Probably not, but it made me feel a whole lot better.

I would have to agree. Every transaction I've ever had with them has been unpleasant. Too big to fail = too big to care

Thanks Pine. I'm glad to see that we now have a separate short sale board here at Agents Online. I'm sure there will be tons of useful information flowing over there, and I will frequent it often.

Anyone has experience with Chase short sales where you're both the listing agent and buyer's agent? I wonder how they'll treat the commission for the agent. Would there be any difference if the buyer's agent is a different person but from the same brokerage? What's the best practice for the short sale where the buyer doesn't have an agent to represent him/her? Please advise.

I agree. Bank of America could stand to improve their customer service a lot more. I'd like to say that it all has to do with their acquisition of Merrill Lynch and that they need time to adjust, but frankly this has been going on for years. I'm not sure if I would support a ban, but I wouldn't discourage it either.
