Would anyone like to share what contact management system/software they use. I'm becoming very disorganized with followup. I'd like something that helps remind me when to followup with clients who maybe don't qualify, clients I've already closed as well and potential and current clients. Something that did other things like provide websites or monthly newsletters or something would be okay to but not a requirement. Thanks

I don't put out newsletters, but my understanding is that constant contact is great software for that. Again, I don't have firsthand experience with it.

There are several other recent threads about this. Did you use the search function?

Start with outlook 2007 that has the add-in BUSINESS CONTACT MANAGEMENT. If you need more info go to microsoft outlook and take a look at the outlook with BSM demo. You will be amazed.

BAP is one per market, right? Now you got my curiosity... I will look into it over the weekend. For those who use, what features do you like best? Anything you wish it had that it does not?

Outlook with business contact manager. I have been using it for years and it is great. If you buy 2007 you get a free upgrade to 2010 later this year when it comes out. (No I don't work for Microsoft.) It doesn't have cheesie letters like TP but you only pay for it once, no monthly recurring fee.

Outlook does work well when just starting out on a tight budget.

I use topproducer also - 8i and website with idx. I wouldnt know what to do without it. Stay away from their market snapshot. Pricey and useless.

I was running Outlook 2003 and looking to upgrade to a better CM. Looked around at a variety of options was going to go with Outlook 07 but then found Chaos Intellect. http://www.chaossoftware.com/products.asp
I have only had it running for a couple of months but so far it is working well for me. Not only will it remind you to follow up but you can set up activity series that kick off automatically. For instance I have a series of 8 emails I send to potential buyers, so I input their contact info and assign the email activity task and bang it happens automatically. I have also set up a series of tasks for closings which pop up on the screen as they become due.
This is not a cloud based solution but you can load it on a flash drive and take it with you and easily sync back to your may computer.
Have a look and see what you think.

After looking at the website... Busy Agent Pro seems to be a coaching program that runs for $1500 year.. not a CRM...

Outlook is great when you have the add on "Business Contact Manager".
I felt that TP ripped me off when it hid in the fine print that the lifetime tech support went away with the 6i upgrade. I also think that keeping your business database on another company's server is a little risky. Companies go out of business, servers crash or get hacked, there are ways that you can lose that data. Also unless their system has changed drastically their pre-printed letters were so old school salesman 101 garbage, there is no way I would ever use one for anything.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
