Ok mine is just mostly untech friendly clients - they don't email, dont own a cell phone and even getting to a fax is difficult for them... But the client pet peeve that gets me most ( and sometimes this applies to agents too) is the contract or paperwork scanned in on some flatbed ONE PAGE AT A TIME - and I recieve an email with 1000 different attachments! UGGHHH!!! I'm printing one now, so that I can sort it and scan it IN properly..
DRIVES ME INSANE!!!!!
Small yes - but my biggest pet peeve!
Share yours and make me feel better!

Perky, I have one like that now. I told the client that they needed to weed the flower beds and to put down mulch. The husband bought one bag of mulch and spread it over an acre and did not pull out one weed. Ok, I might be stretching the 1 acre but it was one bag in a huge flower bed.It would have been better not to do anything.
And now the wife keeps calling to change the mls photos. The house keeps getting shown but 75% of feedback is negative. A little bit of work could go a long way.

Those get me too...I recommend they do XXX or price for the lack of doing XXX, then they do neither. And of course then they blame me for the lack of showings/offers!!!

Because of many similar experiences, I started telling my clients that if you go to a doctor, and you refuse to take the medicine prescribed, don't blame the doctor when you don't get better!

Share yours and make me feel better! I can accept that behavior from a client, don't like it but I deal with it. I deal with with more agents that do that, even better when the agent says "I don't do email"?

There are ways to get sellers to do what you tell them to do - and I don't mean lecturing them or scolding them or anything disrespectful like that. I had a Realtor once give me a "to-do" list and waltz away... I didn't do anything on the list and I'm sure she later complained about it when the house didn't sell.
But if you approach a seller with the right attitude and inspire them to WANT to do what needs to be done to sell the house, they usually will do it. It's just like pricing right - if the agent can't persuade the seller to do what needs to be done (price, condition, accessibility, whatever)... it's the AGENT's fault, not the seller's.

Okay - my list of agent pet peeves could grow LARGE...my client ones are small but manageable...never said I couldnt deal with it...just irritates me half to death. But other agents....dont get me started. 70% of licensees...should not be!

When a seller keys on one fact about his house and neglects all the rest. So he has a 2 acre site and thinks it should be priced 30% higher than all the comps that don't have a 2 acre site, even though they are all better homes...

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
