Hello everyone,

Just passed Real Estate Exam. Got word yesterday.

Does anyone know where I can go in Temecula, CA to get some training in contracts, short sales, etc.?

I really don't want to sign with anybody yet. I'd like to do a week training someone and then make my decision who to hang my license with.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
happygirl

Please correct me if I am misreading - It sounds like you want a real estate broker to provide you with training but with no commitment on your part. Not a good way to get a start in the business if you wish to maintain high ethical standards, The broker is providing the training to agents who are part of the firm, not to just anyone who drops by.

Most local boards have periodic contract classes, but you have to pay a fee and generally be a board member.

I'd say, best bet would be to go out and interview with a few brokers, and find out who's the best fit for you, and who offers the best training to fit you and your schedule

Good for you for wanting training asap! I can't speak to Temecula, but you might call the local Realtor Board and ask if they offer training classes for new licensees. But truthfully, you're probably better off getting your training through your broker because there's a lot to learn, and it's much easier to learn if your license is active and you have someone around to bounce questions off of.

Unfortunately, most new agent training centers around prospecting skills, not competence education, so you'll likely be frustrated if you're hoping to get good training on contracts, short sales, etc. But it will be easier to seek this sort of training out if you are affiliated with a brokerage.

Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of real estate!
