I watched a tutorial about generating leads on Craigslist. One of my favorite things was learning about the "Squeeze Page" where people who are interested in services can enter their Email Address, comments and/or phone number and their request goes strait to you.

The trick to creating the squeeze page is the HTML code.

Does anyone know of a good software to create one because I am not completely HTML literate. Or does Microsoft Expression have this capability?

Has anyone had any experience with this either good or bad?

Doesn't the e-mail link on every craigslist ad do nearly the same thing if someone is interested? My ads have a link to my website and site for the property I'm advertising.

If Microsoft Expression allows you to do web forms (the old Microsoft Front Page did) then you can do it. I am not familiar with Expression.

I do know that the old forms from Front Page required Microsoft Front page Server Extensions, which are now pretty much obsolete and many webhosts/servers are disabling or no longer supporting them.

There are certainly other ways of creating forms but I am not familiar with them; I only used the Front Page forms....they were very easy. Now I just have an email link for people to contact me (not very efficient, and will be changing that eventually.)

Check w/GoDaddy - they may offer a basic form package for some of their hosting...

Yes. The thing is that I have not had much luck with Craigslist yet. Probably because I am relatively new. No website for me yet, but it is in the make.

The tutorial I saw was about text adds which I have posted a couple of times, but to no avail. I like HTML where I can actually get a picture or page to post rather than text that can include an email or comments section.

Why not postlets?

I do think Postlets or Vflyer has a low cost option for having a single property website....I don't think M ichly is trying to advertise a particular property.

If he is though, he could also try Realbird.com

I thought his point was strictly about Craigslist. I use postlets for that, but never for a single property website.

I think the point of the Craigslist ad was to direct people to the "squeeze page." Basically a single page site meant to get people to give you their contact info in exchange for something like a buyer report....not advertising listings on Craigslist.

There are several ways to create lead capture pages as they were called before Internet Marketers came along and started calling them squeeze pages:) with forms connected to your contact manager or follow up system.

The easiest being use a service like Aweber or Getresponse. They have forms you can paste right onto your website/blog/lead capture page that will allow your visitors to fill out simple forms.

You still have to design a lead capture page which believe it or not, there is a science to creating a good one.

Alternatively, you could use something like my system, http://busyagentpro.com and it automates the whole thing including the creation of the lead capture site and the forms are not only connected to follow system, they are also connected to your contact manager as well.

If you are using a contact manager such as Top Producer, I believe they now have forms you can paste into your website as well, again, you still have to create a site and a process that your prospects will see enough value in to actually give you their information in exchange for whatever it is you are offering in your ad and on your lead capture page.

I wrote a book about this exact topic back in the year 2000 (I can't believe it has been 10 years) if anyone is interested I could send you a PDF copy, the idea still works as well today as it did 10 years ago when done properly!

I signed up for busyagentpro several months ago. I am finally trying to set everything up and ran into a glitch. I have left telephone messages as well as emails but I have not received a response. It has been over two days now. Does anyone have a direct contact there? Thanks.

I thought a while ago that BAP was going to stop accepting new accounts/areas...I thought there was some kind of deadline or something.

Must have been something else.

I signed up six months ago for a Platinum account. I think the free ones may be on the way out.

Platinum account and you don't get a return phone call when you need help?

Wow. I would find that pretty darn annoying.

Hey Focus,

Our support department normally takes calls M-S 8-7 PM. After that our support ticket system takes over.

However, A key member of our team is in the hospital with a very serious illness so we have been backed up the last few days. A lot of people know Rich Shaw from his days here on Agents Online. Please send out your thoughts and prayers for him and his family in this time of need.

Several of our long time members have volunteered to help in his absence and I am returning a lot of calls personally. Just post over int he forum and they will help you, otherwise, you are probably on my list to call.

If you would like to reach me directly here is my contact information:

Brian sorry to hear about Rich again. I thought he was better after the last time a few months ago.

Anyways people have to understand with BAP it is constantly changing and evolving and with that you get problems. No system is perfect but for 67.00 a month I challenge people to show a system that does more.

If people knew how successful Brian is they wouldn't even question his system. If you simply follow the system it works. If you want to use a free site than go to town on it.

On the support end eventually I would like BAP to provide more than the automated line and support ticket. Maybe a dedicated support specialist for that customer for 1 hour phone calls once a week for a specified fee or something. We used to have webinars and still do some. I would be willing to pay more for the 1 hour phone calls.
