Start with a remedial English class. I don't think many high end homeowners will list with someone who can't spell, punctuate or capitalize properly. If that's "text message" talk, dump it when you're doing professional work.

Thanks neudot . . . . I thought that was the "Luxury Language" witch apeels only to the vary eleet, and off coarse, hour most Cosmopolitan Nouveau Riche!

I often suggest that people just try once in a while to read what they've written out loud and see what mental gymnastics they are expecting any readership to go through to get their message.

Sad; but true . . . . many valuable messages are cast adrift never to be understood by anyone because the writer makes it such a tortuous endeavor.

The easier it is to read . . . . the more people who will read it.

Writing might be tough for one; but makes it easier for hundreds to read. It's an effort that pays multiple dividends.

Otherwise, if no one will endure the struggle needed to read it . . . . why even bother writing it? It's a pure waste.

Well, at least "LUXURY" was spelled correctly; maybe that's enough?

I believe that I read that you were just considering getting into real estate? If so, it will be very difficult to start out in the luxury home market unless you already have many contacts in that price range. Most people in the luxury market already have agents and are quite picky as to who they use. That being said, work hard and be sure to know the market inside and out. If you could find a mentor who works the high end market and who might be looking for someone to do their grunt work for them, try hooking up with them. Don't complain when you are doing work for free because you are simply trying to do this to learn from an experienced agent.

I would ask yourself why you want to get into the luxury market. Is it because you're tantalized by the prospect of huge commissions? If so, you should first do some checking into the absorption rate for homes over a certain price range -- i.e., the price range that comprises the "luxury" market. If it's like many other markets it's probably quite low; which means you could sell several low and mid-priced homes in the time it takes you to sell one of the slow moving, luxury monsters.
