I would like to start off by thanking all of you that have made this forum such a success. I have learned a lot from reading all of the posts here.

I am in search of a generic bid form and was wondering if there was anyone out there that would be willing to share this information with me. Being so new to the business I have never placed a bid on a property and when I do, I would like to have a clue as to what I should submit. It does not have to have the actual dollars that are being bid, but I was curious as to how the bids are submitted. I have an idea in my mind, but was hoping someone would be kind enough to share one of theirs with me.

Thanks in advance to anyone that is willing to help.

REO Cleanout ~

If you use Quickbooks, you can customize your estimates to include everything you need. You can upload your logo to the form so that they don't appear "generic".

allREOpreserv,

Thanks for the tip. You always seem to be there to help people out. I didn't even think of using Quickbooks for the bid form. I was using an excel spreadsheet.

I was hoping though that someone might share a bid proposal with me so that I could actually see what a professional bid looked like. I don't want to reduce my chances of getting work because of improper biding.

Steve

You're very welcome. I just sent you a PM.

You can also create a work order and an invoice from the same estimate you originally sent the client, reducing your paperwork time and cutting the chances of making an error in the transition from one form to another.

Excel can be cumbersome. In QB you can set up items with descriptions that will automatically fill in when you create new bids. When you do the volume we do, this is the most time-saving thing you can do for yourself. Hand typing everything increases the chances of spelling and grammar errors.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however.
