After a couple of weeks of pondering and interviewing with other agents, I decided to go with the Coldwell Banker broker, who I first interviewed with...I found her to be a total professional, willing to be supportive and to be perfectly honest, I much prefer the CB name over the local mom and pop type of establishments around my area....the mom and pops seemed to care more about their local competitors than anything else, especially this one guy, who just rambled on and on about himself and how great he was and then couldn't wait to stab another local broker in the back....not very professional in my book

Congrats on making a decision. CB also has lots of marketing material available on their CBWorks site and additional training material I believe. It's been a while since I looked at the training material. The CBworks site is for CB agents only.

One thing I do highly recommend is to get an email address that is not tied to a brokerage or company. If you should ever leave your current brokerage, you will lose access to any incoming emails at that address.

I've been with a CB franchise for nearly 9 years, but we do have one of the best broker's to work with in the area.

I appreciate your kind words and advice..I think another determining factor was that I took my class through CB which I found to be well done, even though I took the 24 hour weekend class, it was still held at a decent pace..I look forward to getting started....Monday I join the MLS !

Congrats on your choice. Did you interview with other big-name brokers? If so, how did that compare to CB?

I did not interview with big name brokers....I pretty much had my mind made up after interviewing with CB that, that was the way I wanted to go....everyone else seemed too busy telling me all about themselves and how good they are, rather than letting me know they were there for me to offer guidance, like CB did
