I am trying to flip a house on a picture. I just want to flip the house not the whole picture, which program should I use? Any free downloads?

Thanks.

I don't think there's an easy way to do this. In Photoshop, you could cut out the pic of the house from the background, flip it, and put it back in the picture or put it into a different background. It likely wouldn't look just right, however. If this is for an MLS photo, it probably isn't a good idea anyhow.

The only free download that I can think of that might do this is Gimp.

I heard wonderful things about Gimp, however, it is not user friendly, IMHO.

You might want to check eBay for old versions of Photoshop or Jasc PaintShopPro that you can pick up pretty cheap. in the case of PaintShopPro look for versions 7, 8, or 9. they were the best versions before Corel bought it from Jasc and killed a REALLY nice program.

If you want to email the picture for me, I will give it a try. I'm pretty good with stuff like that. I had a lot of time on my hands back in the day...I added myself to a family portrait (I was not in the original...and nobody would have known...lol). I also did this with two pictures I took while at Niagara:

Please be careful with this and the intended use of the photo. If the intent is to alter a photo that will be used in advertisement of a property for sale, then there could be legal and/or ethical consequences. If the intent is just for personal fun, such as the Niagra Falls photo, then enjoy.

I have recently discovered FastStone products, and I have to say, their products are terrific. I recently bought a Win 7 computer to find that the image resizing tools I had used with XP didn't work anymore. Not only that, but my new camera can take images in RAW, and my older Photoshop editions can't read the files. (Not that you need to be taking RAW photos for real estate work). FastStone Image Viewer and FastStone Image Resizer are both great, and they are free or a small donation to use.

Gimp is free. Photoshop is the best though, but expensive. Paintshop pro is a nice much cheaper program however. You don't need all the advanced functions of photoshop anyway.
