Get a list from a local broker on the MLS. Listing brokers for banks have to input into MLS within 24 hours of listing. The other subscription sites info is old by the time they get it.

With MLS we get real time of new listings hitting the market. Brokers also know of listings that are fixing to hit the market but are still awaiting trash-out,value setting,re-key and winterizing etc.

I think the buyer side at reoprep.com is free for anyone. I cannot confirm that though. I also would suggest as mentioned the MLS or even some searches through the recorders office.

As posted above get yourself hooked up with a local broker in the area you are interested in and they will get you the most current information available. Some of the Foreclosure sites have dated or incorrect information and you do not need to pay someone for this info. I'm sure if you posted the area in which you are looking that someone from this forum could set you up. Good luck on your search.

dnoah,

Do NOT pay for any list or membership. Get your info from a local agent who knows about REO.

Just curious, though. If you cannot afford to buy a list, can you afford to buy a house?
