I have been doing property preservation for abt 2 years in Fla. The jobs I have been getting so far have all been houses that have been empty for a while, or so it seems. Do I still have to store personal things?

It depends on the what the company requires. You never know what the particular situation is. I just did a property that was abandoned over a year ago and we still can't remove the personal items from the property... This is common with Freddie Mac props... even if you do get an order to remove, find out who you are removing it for because sometimes it is in your best interest to store it for 30 days anyway... CYA, you know. if they don't claim it, you can probably sell some of it to cover your storage fees.
