just wondering--- how many people pass the state and national exam the first time???

I would think that most people, if they fail anything, will fail their local State's portion, the intention of which is to make sure you have mastered an understanding of the Laws which make your State or Commonwealth different from the others.

Speaking from experience, that was my case . . . . Too Cocky on Real Estate in general; and very "WEAK" in having absorbed the unique aspects of Vermont's Rules and Regulations.

Here's a thread where some statistics are offered up for Texas . . . . which though it's "Like a whole other Country" is probably still representative of the rest of us in this regard.

I passed both too, and did the same for the brokers tests, which were almost identical, though 6 years seperated them for me.

I agree with VT that state tends to be the tougher of the two, at least in VA.

Just remember. For multiple choice, ABCD format. You get 25% going in even if you don't speak english.
Eliminate the goofy answer of the 4 options and that goes up to 33%.
If you can narrow it to 2, you are at 50%. Study a little and you ought to pass.
