In reviewing the real estate mathematics section for qualifying to be a real estate agent, there is a comprehensive discussion of these three elements in real estate math. One simple example prevails in the testing section. Ebenezer intends to put up a fence between his lot and his neighbor's. The fencing comes in six-foot sections. For a fence 120 feet long, how many fence posts will be required? The answer obviously is 21 since 120 divided by 6 plus one results in the answer. Where do the components of part, percent and whole fit into this calculation or do they at all, since part divided by percent gives one the whole number? Part divided by the whole number gives one the percent number. And Percent times whole gives one the part number.

Much appreciation!

I know those fence posts . . . . they're 6" in diameter; so that makes for a reduction in the number of panels of fencing required.

C, always go with option C unless you can confidently rule out C as the answer.

I looked at it this way. There were only 4 questions on the test relating to math.

I chose to let them be the ones I got wrong.

(actually of the 3 or 4 questions I did get wrong, only one was a math one. lol)

I would concentrate more on learning your state test - the real estate law specifically, and stuff re: fair housing. They are more important than how many square feet are in a hectacre and what the pro-ration of daily utilities is down to the very minute of the settlement...at least, in my opinion.....

To me it felt like more than 4. Hmmm.

I took the Perky Theory. My test was 20% match questions. I needed 70% to pass. So I could miss all the math and still have some room. I read the question, if the answer was not obvious I chose C.

It worked for me. I got a 98%. The questions I missed pertained to ethics?
