Yay! So happy to be back!!! Just started last week as part-owner/managing broker/trainer/C.O.O./recruiter, etc.... of a real estate company after a couple of years worth of arm twisting. We currently have about 35 agents, and I'm wanting to get up to 100 by the end of 2010. I've already signed on two during my first week, and I have 8 more appointments set up, so we're on our way... The big push is going to be our training, and I'm doing a 4-6 month long real estate... "boot camp". I previously used Brian Buffini's 100 Days to Greatness Program with my agents, but I'm putting together something much more comprehensive this time around- concentrating on lots of different lead generation methods, not just working SOI. We'll have a week on pay per click, a week on organic placement and SEO, a week on our FSBO program and FSBO website, a week on our expired listing program, a week on agent referrals, a week on geographical farming, etc... very, very hands on training. I'm a very big SOI believer, and they'll be working their SOI and internet leads through the whole program. At the end of it all, they determine a business plan with 4-6 lead sources they will be working, broken down into daily activities. Anyway.... The program is pretty much written now, but I need to come up with a kick-butt name for it. Any ideas? I'm thinking something along the lines of career-defining, power push, pushing through to the next level, break through, kick start, jump start, boot camp..... I really want to come up with something catchy because I'll be sharing the program with other owners in our franchise nationwide. Thanks for your help!

Maybe lead generation something since that's pretty much what it's all about.

DECISION 2010: BOOTCAMP FOR SUCCESS.
I like the bootcamp concept, because it signifies commitment and gut-wrenching effort on the part of the learner, as well as toughness and high expectations on the part of the trainer. That's far beyond training that can be pretty passive for the learner.

Thanks for the input! I like the break through idea, and bootcamp certainly gives an indication of the work involved. Just a couple of days ago I was explaining it to someone and just randomly told them it was kind of and "Extreme Makeover" for a real estate career. I wonder if I am allowed to use the term "Extreme Makeover"? I need to decide on something by Monday....

Boot camp seems more suited to newbies, while makeover seems to apply if you are re-training current agents. Which one is your primary focus?
Concerning possible trademark issues, I think you'd come closer to being able to use some version of boot camp than "Extreme Makeover." I doubt that the words "boot camp" can be trademarked, though boot camp with some other word attached to it probably could be. "Extreme Makeover" probably is trademarked.
More thoughts: revolution, transformation, overhaul, renewal, blast off, career launch, career connect, remodel, jumpstart, break-out...

How about:
RElearn
or
REconnect
or
REthink

From what I understand there might be different kinds of trademarks and sometimes the same term can be used by different people as long as it relates to different fields or class of services that don’t compete against each other and that aren’t confusingly similar. It’s always best to seek the advice of an attorney about any trademark issues beforehand.
It would be nice if you could register or buy the matching .com for the term that you choose.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
