I've looked at a lot of the software out there and have tried some of it but I've run across one of a few problems with them. Programs like REO Maestro were slow and were based off of another server along with a monthly fee. Don't like it. Applications like AgentOffice were desktop based but were a motherload to handle, not to mention to the upfront cost. My last edition was v9, however, since the buyout by Emphasys sofware and the switch over I've not upgraded as the support was woefully horrible.

What I am looking for a simple activity based custom task management system. Instead of using exact dates, I'd like to set up an activity plan and then put in prospects or contracts as needed. From my research of this type of software, I've found nothing that fits the bill. I've found task schedulers that meet specific intervals such as the 15th of the month but nothing that can manage a marketing plan to a prospect or managing a contract.

Anyone? Ideas?

You will never find a software product that will meet all your needs, unless you have one built for yourself, and that is very expensive.

From what you've indicated that you needed, you might want to try JavelinCRM. It is pretty cheap (even have a free version) and you can do things like action plans, contact management and custom fields.

It is not real estate specific, but is good for managing contacts.

The only reason that I don't use it is because it does not alow you to manage different profiles for your team members. I think I may going to Salesforce for that.

If you want something that you can customize to some extent, look at "Legal File Management Software", which although usually not cheap, covers all details as may be necessary.

I personally have been using Amicus Attorney for years and record all characters who are a party to a transaction, plus all documentation and a chronological time line with all the communications involved, telephone calls,emails,faxes, etc.

All information being available with a click of the mouse.
