I font know about UT, but in CA, we MUST provide workers comp for our agents. No exceptions, no mercy. The penalties are pretty severe if you don't provide it.
And no, it doesn't matter that the are ICs, 1099s, etc.

It actually sounds like a pretty interesting set-up. I could see quite a few people interested in something like this. Seems to give the agents a bit more growth room to grow and expand their personal business.
Didn't see the age of the post when initially writing....so, while I'm here, how has the brokerage been treating you? Working out?
This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
