I want create my own newsletter using free content plus some community-relevant news along with a page of listings. A color laser printer that prints 11 x 17 will be used to produce the newsletter, but I need to know what kind of software to use with it. My thought would be to create the pages in Word, then place the word pages to the furthermost left and right sides of each landscaped, ledger-sized page to create the separate pages within the newsletter. I need to buy Adobe Acrobat anyway. Does anyone know if that software will do this? If not, any recos?

Thanks

I've had a considerably better success laying out pages and manipulating graphics with MS Publisher over Word.

See if you can use an older or "evaluation" version first, before investing in it. Also, if you are used to the pre-2007 MS Office interface, do not switch to 2007 before familiarizing yourself with the new ribbon design, as the learning curve may be quite steep and hamper your main objective.

If you will have an online version as well, let us know where we can see it when published.

Good luck!

If you are going to drop the cash on Adobe you may as well get Adobe InDesign CS4. By far the best online/offline publishing tool IMO.
