I'm receiving at least 2 emails a day advertising their LAMCO network with a yearly fee of $199. I was considering it at one point, now I've just filtered them to the spam folder.

I have gotten emails but also phone calls as well. The phone calls are always automated so I just hang up. I ,too, have sent them straight to spam which is deleted immediately =)

yup, i keep getting them, even tho i continually unsubscribe and i email them back telling them to give it a rest. yet they keep coming.

on some of the emails, at the bottom of the email, is a link to complain. i click it each time, tho i dont know who i am complaining to!

YA just pay them 199.00 and see what happens. Just kidding. I actually received a few today, but I would not pay that much for one of these companies. I only pay a few bucks a month.

So does anybody know if LAMCO is truly in need of additional agents due to anticipated volume from a new client **OR** are they in need of registration fees due to loss of client(s)?

I paid it and got an interior that they said "might turn into an assignment" We'll see on that one. I sure hope so as it's a nice house. And I had to turn down a $100 rush as I was on vacation. So a couple more orders and I break even.

Keep us posted. I've had a number of assignments from them that were conveniently "pulled for auction" after all the pre-marketing services were complete (I re-keyed, trashed out, did the BPO, etc). It was a standard tactic they used at the time. I'm curious to see if that's still what they're up to. Well....sort of. I never had to pay for the pleasure so I guess it's a slightly different tactic if, instead of them getting you to do the work for free, they're getting you to pay them for the honor of it all.

The auction thing is what I am finding to be the case. Also, I signed up with them last year and never recieved anything. I asked why after they called me. They said it was because I had never set up my account.. I said "what"!!! I said yes I did.... well come to find out there is LAMCO Network and LAMCO REO or something like that. So I was pretty upset that my account was sitting there paid for and not set up. I finished setting it up now. I will keep everone informed. We do not get auctions in this area except for them... or certain other listings but only after exposed to our market for a very long time. (only a few)The interesting thing is that they could get double by using the MLS for everyone to see but the few investors who are signed up by that certain auction company.

They sent me a check last week for $140 for a rekey in California. I'm in Colorado and am an agent. I called them and sent the check back.

I don't know, but do know I was signed up with them before the "pay to play" thing happended and NEVER received anything from them. I called them months ago and asked why should I should "pay to play" when I never received anything when if was free. I could not get an answer. I think they know BPO's hae slowed down for most of us and they are hoping for desperate or new agents to sign up. Maybe it is just a regional thing, but I am saying no to them.

LAMCO used to list a lot of properties with me, but very few the past few years, and nothing for 6 months. I think their client(s) are sending the REOs to auction. I still get an occasional BPO, but nothing like in the past. I have upgraded with them once, but will need to see some results before I send them any more money.

I got a phone call and an email yesterday from these guys. I did have listings with them, all pulled 24 hours after the listing agreement was sent, going to auction. That was 6 years ago. I will never work for these guys again. They use agents to get the properties ready for auction, rekeys, CFKs, trash outs and repairs, maintainance, they always pay the crew, but once its ready to go - boom - pulled for auction. So I guess the new thing is, $199 for the sign up fee - and then you work for free. When I was with them - no fee. I think they are trolling for sign up fees, why not make more money off of agents and then get them to work for free? Run.

I have tried several times to unsubscribe and the email bounces back. Has anyone had any luck getting them out of your mailbox?
