Loc: land of cheaper and cheaper bp...
After almost 7+ years with ihouse i'm throwing in the towel. This is the third time within 6 weeks their email servers have been down. first time for about 48 hours and we were receiving emails here and there 2-3 days late after that... second time was for a few hours during business hours and today it was down for about 5-6 hours. in the meantime a ton of bpo business lost due to the down time. over the years this has happened on and off but at this time i have had enough!!!
I found out that go daddy.com charges about $75 a year for pretty much the same features as what i pay close to $600 a year now.
Im kicking my self for all the years i have been wasting my money on Ihouse. I was always too concerned that i would have a lot of down time with the email but turns out theat they can set up the email over a weekend with just a few hours worth of down time....

I would stay away from iHouse!
I have used them for the past 5 years and it's been horrible! Their customer service is rotten and their sites aren't very SEO friendly.
I am paying for a custom website now and will build on it. Sure it costs more initially but you save in the long run if you have your own site (and have it hosted with Godaddy or another company).
If you are looking for sites that seem to do well with SEO (at least they do here in Vancouver, BC) I would suggest Point 2 Agent. I don't really like the look of their sites but they seem to rank well (at least here they do).
I think they would be a good alternative if you don't want to spend too much time or money on SEO but want to have decent rankings in your local market.
Yep, I'm fed up with I House as well. I will have to start from ground zero finding a new website. I don't want to build one and can't afford custom yet. There stuff is just so ancient that it frustrates you.
This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
