The main thing that you want to do when you begin is to retain as much as possible from those around you in the firm. Also a major portion of your job will be explaining contracts to clients and sometimes getting into the the fine point. You yourself can help ease this process if you spend time looking over all of the contracts and understanding them in and out so when clients ask a question you are capable of answering and see assuring. The rest of your learning and growth will come in time. It is all about getting a feel for the market.
