Email Recieved: As the holidays approach we wanted all IAS vendors to know about the IAS Gift Policy. At IAS we pride ourselves on our performance, integrity, and our no excuses philosophy. Our expectation is that our brokers, attorneys, title companies and other vendors will deliver the service that has made us the successful company we are today. It is our intention to reward our best performing vendors for the quality of work they provide to IAS through ongoing assignments rather than through gifts, dinners, tickets to sporting events or any other types of monetary inducements. Beginning in 2009 gifts from brokers, attorneys, title companies and other vendors will not be accepted. In previous years IAS has contributed to charities to show our support for the Denver community and those less fortunate. As an IAS vendor, if you feel obligated to show appreciation for the business you received in the past year, please feel free to donate to one of the following charities: Denver Rescue Mission PO Box 5206 Denver, Co. 80217 303-313-2443 www.Denverrescuemission.org Denver Safe House 1649 Downing St. Denver, Co. 80218 303-318-9959 www.Safehouse-denver.org Sox Place PO Box 544 Denver, Co. 80217 303-296-3412 www.soxplace.com

I got this too .... It made me chuckle a little. It never crossed my mind to send them a gift thanking them for the 2 orders I received this year. I just want to say here and now, I am accepting baked goods if anyone wants to send some. ;-)

When I did Vendor Management and we requested Bids for either service contract or equipment WOW I got bombarded with gifts. The highest ticket gift was a brand new laser color printer and the promise of free toner for life. Unfortunatly my mail was highly monitored and went directly to the Ethics Compliance Officer for review before I ever saw anything. I did at least get to look at everything before they were sent back to the sender. Those that violated the Code and sent gifts were automatically excluded from the bidding process.

We get funny things at christmas time from vendors. One year we got a life size photo of one of our agents. I guess the intent was to keep him in mind for orders... It was kind of creepy.

I'm hoping 2 or 3 of my lost " companies" will show up next year! or they will send me an email to sign on to auto click in order to get their orders. My favorites who keep me in business will all get thank you notes for continuing to send me orders I don't have to click for!

It seems a little ironic to me that they send a "please do not send gifts" solicitation that is sort of a solicitation for their area charities.

Im still waiting for my gift... That's a mighty long line.....lol I send my BPO companies what my name implies.....ya never can complain about San Francisco chocolate..... That list sure got longer this year....I plan on sending EVAl a scratch and sniff chocolate sheet... It's kind of neat, if you're on a diet.....you can smell it.....just don't get to taste it...kind of like "the checks in the mail" game.

Im still waiting for my gift... I send my BPO companies what my name implies.....ya never can complain about San Francisco chocolate..... Whats so special about San Francisco M&Ms ? I see you're still shopping at Walmart.........lol About a mile from my home is a factory outlet shopping center.....And, of course, they have a store that carries all the goodies. I will usualy send a case of this "special chocolate" a few times a year, to my favorite companies. It seems to work....orders always go up within a week of receipt.....Last year, I sent some out to an east coast company. I happened to call them about an hour after they received it. It was like 10 a.m their time.....they were all wired up on the chocolate....I swear they were bouncing off the walls...I never laughed so hard in my life.....

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
