In the State of California, would a real estate consultant that provides investment advice be required to get a permit and/or a license to do the business? If so, what would it be? This is for LA County.
From the top of my head, a broker license might or might not be required.
It would depend on the kind of investment advice you're offering.
Selling a REIT would probably require a security dealer's license; selling a duplex would probably not require more than a real estate license.
